Sponsorships in Donor Fuse allow you to track and manage special fundraising opportunities—such as daily, weekly, or yearly sponsorships—when entering donations or pledges. Here’s how to enable and use this feature.
Enabling the Sponsorships Module
Note: Only users with Settings access can enable or disable modules. Learn more about user permissions in Donor Fuse.
- Go to the Settings menu.
- Click on Account Settings.
- Expand the Modules section.
- Check the box next to Manage Sponsorship.
- The Sponsorships menu will now appear under the Fundraising section.
Accessing and Viewing Sponsorships
Once enabled, click on Sponsorships under the Fundraising menu to:
- View a searchable, sortable, and filterable list of all sponsorships.
- See details for each sponsorship, including the total amount raised.
- Click on any sponsorship to view all associated donations.
Adding a New Sponsorship
To add a new sponsorship:
- Click Add New Sponsorship (top right of the Sponsorships page).
- In the popup, enter the following details:
- Name (required): The name of the sponsorship.
- Sponsorship Type (optional): Choose from Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly.
If Hebrew options are enabled for your account, you can also select Hebrew Day, Hebrew Week, Hebrew Month, or Hebrew Year. - Limit (optional): By default, there is no participation limit. To set a limit (e.g., only one donor per day for a daily sponsorship), check the "No Limit" box to reveal the input, then enter the desired limit. The system will enforce this limit based on the type (daily, weekly, etc.).
- Default Price (optional): If you enter a default price, this amount will automatically appear when selecting this sponsorship in a new donation or pledge (unless the user specifies a different amount—they can always override the default).
- Click Save New Sponsorship.
Using Sponsorships When Entering Donations or Pledges
When entering a donation or pledge, you can select a sponsorship for the donor:
- The available sponsorships (and types) will be shown to choose from.
- If a default price exists for the sponsorship, it will auto-fill, but you can change it.
- The system will enforce any limits set for the sponsorship type and date.
Filtering and Reporting by Sponsorship Type and Date
- Sponsorship type and date can be used as filters on the pledges and donations views.
- These fields can also be used for grouping in the Simple Fundraising and Payments reports, as well as in the Advanced Reports.
- This makes it easy to analyze fundraising performance by specific sponsorship types or time periods.
