You must be an Administrator to add a new user to your Donor Fuse account.
To add a new user:
- Click Settings on the Main Menu, then Users.
- On the User's page, click Add New User.
- On the Add New User form, the User Details tab is open by default. Here, enter the user's first and last names, and email address. To link the user to a Fundraiser, proceed to Step 4. Otherwise, skip to Step 6.
- If you have not added a Fundraiser before (like in the screenshot below), or if the Fundraiser does not appear on the list, click New Fundraiser, then proceed to Step 5. If you already have Fundraisers set up in the system, select one or more of them from the list, then skip to Step 6.
- On the Add New Fundraiser window, enter the Fundraiser's first and last names, then click Save New Fundraiser.
- On the Add New User form, the Send Welcome Email box is selected by default, meaning the user will get a Welcome email when the account is created. This email allows the user to verify the email address entered in Step 3 above and at the same time create an account password. We recommend keeping this box checked and enabling the system to send Welcome emails to new users.
However, you may deselect the Send Welcome Email box if you do not want to send a Welcome email to the user. In this case, you will need to send a Reset Password email to the user so that they can nominate a password that will allow them to log on and use the system (see How to Send a Reset Password Email). - Click the Permissions tab, where all sections, or Donor Fuse modules, are selected by default. Deselect the sections to which the user should not have any access. You may also change the user's access permissions for each module at this time. For more information, see How to Set User Permissions.
- Click Save New User. The new account is then displayed at the bottom of the Users list on the Users page.
| Note: For Users who are also Fundraisers, you can add them as Fundraisers when creating the user accounts, effectively linking them together. When linked, Users and Fundraisers can see each other's activities within the system. However, not all Fundraisers need access to the system. Fundraiser accounts linked to Users may also be changed at any time. |
