When a donor asks to be removed from your list of patrons, or becomes inactive, among other reasons, you may either deactivate or delete their record in Donor Fuse. If you foresee the donor becoming active again in the future, you may temporarily deactivate the donor record. Otherwise, you can permanently delete their record instead.
This article guides you through deactivating a donor record in Donor Fuse.
| Note: Once deactivated, a donor becomes inactive. If an inactive donor becomes interested in donating to your causes again, you will need to reactivate their record first. For more information, see How to Reactivate an Inactive Donor Record. |
There are two (2) ways to deactivate a donor record in Donor Fuse.
From the Edit Donors Page
- Click Contacts on the Main Menu, then Donors.
- On the Donors page, search for the donor record. For more information, see How to Use Search and Apply Filters in Donor Fuse.
- Once you find the donor record, click the Action menu, denoted by three (3) dots to the right, then click Edit to open the Edit Donor page.
- On the Edit Donor page, toggle the Active button on the topmost right to deactivate the record.
