When a donor asks to be removed from your list of patrons, or becomes inactive, among other reasons, you may either delete or deactivate their record in Donor Fuse.
| Note: A record that has been deactivated may be activated again at some future time, meaning that you do not have to enter the donor's information into Donor Fuse all over again. For more information on deactivating a record, see How to Deactivate a Donor Record. |
If you do not foresee the donor becoming active again in the future, you may permanently delete their record instead of temporarily deactivating it.
This article guides you through deleting a donor record in Donor Fuse.
| Note: Once permanently deleted, a donor record becomes irretrievable for further use. In case the donor becomes interested in contributing to your organization again, you will need to add them into the system again. For more information, see How to Add a New Donor. |
