Aside from giving you the capability to manually add donors to the system, you have the option to import donors into Donor Fuse. This is particularly helpful if you have a list of donors maintained in a spreadsheet program or kept in an old system you are migrating from. The import file is in XLS format (see Import Donor Template).
To import donors into Donor Fuse:
- Click Contacts on the Main Menu, then Donors.
- On the Donors page, click the Action menu on the top right, which is denoted by three (3) dots and lies right next to the Add New Donor button.
- Click Import Donors.
- On the Import Donors window, click Download Sample File to get the template for setting up your own import file prior to uploading it to the system. To check the details of the template's columns, see Import Donor Template.
- Once you have the import file ready, and you are confident that it meets the specifications of the sample file you downloaded in Step 4, click the designated area where you can upload the import file, then select the file from its location on your PC. Alternatively, drag the file to the designated area.
- Click Import. Donor Fuse will then start uploading the file. After the file is uploaded, you may check the Donors page for the imported donor records. If not successfully imported, check that your import file is in the acceptable format before trying to upload the records again.
