How to Show, Hide, and Reorder Columns on a List

Every list screen in Donor Fuse — including Donors, Payment Plans, Tasks, and more — lets you choose which columns are visible and control the order they appear in. Each list has its own unique set of available columns relevant to that record type. This helps you focus on the information that matters most to your team.

Open the Column Picker

  1. Click Contacts on the Main Menu, then Donors (or navigate to any other list screen).
  2. Click Edit Columns in the toolbar on the right side of the screen.
  3. The Edit Columns dialog opens. It has two panels:
    • Left panel — lists every available column for this list, with a checkbox next to each name. Use the Search columns field at the top to filter the list by name.
    • Right panel — labeled Selected Columns, this shows the columns that are currently turned on. Each column in this panel can be dragged to a new position.

Show or Hide Columns

  1. In the left panel, check the box next to any column name to add it to your view. The column immediately appears in the Selected Columns panel on the right.
  2. To hide a column, uncheck its box in the left panel. You can also click the ✕ icon next to a column name in the Selected Columns panel on the right to remove it.
  3. Click Apply to save your choices and close the dialog. The list updates immediately to reflect your selection.
Note: Click Cancel at any time to close the dialog without making any changes.

Reorder Columns

  1. In the Selected Columns panel on the right side of the dialog, locate the column you want to move.
  2. Click and hold the grid-dots icon on the left side of the column name, then drag it up or down to the position you want.
  3. Release to drop the column in its new position. Repeat for any other columns you want to rearrange.
  4. Click Apply to confirm the new order. The list columns rearrange to match.

Keeping Your Column Layout

Column changes apply to your current session only — if you refresh the page, your changes will be lost. Donor Fuse includes default views out of the box, and you can save your column layout as part of a custom view. (For more on creating and managing views, see the article about Views in Donor Fuse.)
