Gateway Fee Mappings let you control how fees charged by payment gateways (such as credit card processors or Donor Advised Funds) are tracked and allocated in your Donor Fuse system. This ensures that your deposits, financial reports, and campaign or donor analysis are accurate.
Why Use Gateway Fee Mappings?
Whenever a deposit is automatically created based on a batch from your gateway, you’ll want to make sure that any fees—processing, payout, adjustments—are posted to the right accounts and funds. The Gateway Fee Mappings feature lets you specify these rules for every gateway account.
Step by Step: Configuring Gateway Fee Mappings
- Navigate to Gateway Account Settings
- Go to Settings in your Donor Fuse dashboard.
- Click on Gateway Accounts.
- Find the account you want to update, click the three dots (

Advanced Fee Allocation
There is a toggle switch labeled “Split Fee by Donor/Campaign/Fundraiser.”
- If turned ON:
The processing fee will be broken out line-by-line by individual donor, campaign, or fundraiser. This means you’ll see separate fees for each, and they’ll be reflected in your profit & loss reports at both the donor and campaign/fundraiser level. - If turned OFF:
Fees are posted as a lump sum by your selected mapping rule above.
Final Steps
- Double-check your selections and mappings.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
