Donors Fund is a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) that provides "Charity Cards" to its users. Donor Fuse supports direct integration with Donors Fund so you can accept Donors Fund cards for donations seamlessly.
Follow these steps to connect your Donors Fund account and enable Donors Fund card processing in Donor Fuse.
Step 1: Obtain Your Donors Fund Account Number
- Contact your Donors Fund agent to obtain your unique Account Number.
Step 2: Add Donors Fund as a Gateway in Donor Fuse
- In your Donor Fuse dashboard, go to Settings.
- Click Gateway Accounts.
- Click Add New Gateway Account.
- In the popup:
- Type: Select Donors Fund from the dropdown.
- Internal Name: This is a required field. Enter a name such as
donorsfund. If you have more than one Donors Fund account, use a unique name for each (e.g.,donorsfund-main,donorsfund-events). - Account Number: Enter the Account Number you received from your Donors Fund agent.
- Processing Fee Category (Optional): If you have the Donor Fuse Accounting Module enabled, you will see this optional field. Use it to select which fee account category should be used for transaction fees in batch deposits. (The system automatically generates deposits based on batch deposits to the bank.)
- Multi-Currency Settings: If your Donor Fuse account supports multiple currencies:
- Statement Currency: Only USD is supported.
- Accepted Process Currencies: Only USD is supported.
- All other fields are optional. Fill them in only if you have specific requirements.
- Click Save New Gateway Account to complete the setup.
Step 3: Test Your Integration
- Enter a small test transaction in Donor Fuse using a Donors Fund card to confirm the connection is working.
- Check the transaction status in both Donor Fuse and your Donors Fund merchant portal.
Troubleshooting:
- If you encounter any error while testing or processing a payment using this gateway, check the error message.
