How to Connect DafPay to Donor Fuse

DafPay is a platform that enables 501(c)(3) organizations to easily accept donations from a wide range of Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). When integrated with Donor Fuse, DafPay adds a button to your donation link, allowing donors to select from many DAF providers and securely donate online.

Follow these steps to connect your DafPay account and enable DafPay donations in Donor Fuse.

Eligibility

  • DafPay integration is only available for verified 501(c)(3) organizations.

Step 1: Add DafPay as a Gateway in Donor Fuse

  1. In your Donor Fuse dashboard, go to Settings.
  2. Click Gateway Accounts.
  3. Click Add New Gateway Account.
  4. In the popup:
    • Type: Select DafPay from the dropdown.
    • Internal Name: Enter "Daf Pay"
    • Processing Fee Category (Optional): If you have the Donor Fuse Accounting Module enabled, you will see this optional field. Use it to select which fee account category should be used for transaction fees in batch deposits. (The system automatically generates deposits based on batch deposits to the bank.)
    • Multi-Currency Settings: If your Donor Fuse account supports multiple currencies:
      • Statement Currency: Only USD is supported.
      • Accepted Process Currencies: Only USD is supported.
    • All other fields are optional. Fill them in only if you have specific requirements.
  5. Click Save New Gateway Account.

Step 2: Verification

  • Once you click Save, Donor Fuse will automatically verify your organization’s DafPay status.
  • If your DafPay account is verified, the gateway will be enabled and ready to use.
  • If your organization is not eligible, you will get an error message.

Step 3: Donor Experience

  • After successful setup, a DafPay button will appear on your donation link or page.
  • Donors can click this button to select from a wide range of DAF providers and make a secure donation directly to your organization.

Troubleshooting:

  • If your DafPay account cannot be verified, ensure your organization is a registered 501(c)(3) and that all information in your DafPay and Donor Fuse profiles is accurate.
  • For verification issues, contact DafPay support at https://www.dafpay.com/.
  • For integration or setup issues, contact the Donor Fuse support team.
